one and a half to two hour walk along the Thames going East
to West the entire length of the City. Starting at Tower Hill
and the old public execution site. Along the river passing
under the bridges owned and maintained by the City Corporation.
View the modern London Bridge, Millennium bridge and the changing
face of Blackfriars bridges. The old fish market and the area
once used by the Germanic Hanseatic League and where the Romans
first set up docks. Queenhythe dock and its history. See the
school where Harry Potter studied! (and it’s not Hogwart’s)
Then finishing at the Temple, the home to Lawyers, Barristers
and Judges.
If the tide is low we may go ‘mudlarking’…..
