Bruce
Panday was born and raised in east London. He is a Freeman
of the City of London.
Bruce
worked in the City as a young man on the London Stock Exchange
Floor. He was a Stock Jobber’s clerk also known as
a ‘blue-button’.
He
left the Exchange to pursue his interest in the Arts as
a saxophone player and achieved some success with the pop
band Mari Wilson and the Wilsations.
Continuing his love of the arts Bruce worked throughout
the 1980’s and 90’s as an actor mainly in repertory
and touring theatre, TV and film. He still works in this
area.
Bruce
qualified as a City of London guide in July 2009 and thoroughly
enjoys showing people the sights to be seen there.
Bruce’s
parents were married in the City at St. Botolph’s,
Bishopsgate in 1957 and his brother was married at St. Bride’s
church, Fleet Street in 1998.
Fencing
helps to keep Bruce fit.
He supports West Ham football club and lives in Plaistow
E13.
He does enjoy a plate of Oysters!
