Bruce Panday was born and raised in east London. He is a Freeman of the City of London.

Bruce worked in the City as a young man on the London Stock Exchange Floor. He was a Stock Jobber’s clerk also known as a ‘blue-button’.

He left the Exchange to pursue his interest in the Arts as a saxophone player and achieved some success with the pop band Mari Wilson and the Wilsations.

Continuing his love of the arts Bruce worked throughout the 1980’s and 90’s as an actor mainly in repertory and touring theatre, TV and film. He still works in this area.

Bruce qualified as a City of London guide in July 2009 and thoroughly enjoys showing people the sights to be seen there.

Bruce’s parents were married in the City at St. Botolph’s, Bishopsgate in 1957 and his brother was married at St. Bride’s church, Fleet Street in 1998.

Fencing helps to keep Bruce fit.

He supports West Ham football club and lives in Plaistow E13.

He does enjoy a plate of Oysters!
